Binta C. Ouedraogo- Notaras
I’m Binta Carleen Ouedraogo-Notaras, but to keep it simple, call me Binta Carleeen. I’m a mother, wife, College Admission Counselor, Educator, yoga teacher, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, Health and Wellness Coach, Reiki Master, Metalsmith and much more.
To make these roles more relatable, I’m your global consultant and educator. I started my journey in college counseling with EducationUSA in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, helping international students navigate the very complex application process. From providing them with information to narrow down their school choices to guiding them through essay writing, test preparation, and ultimately applying, I was committed through it all. After several years at the American Embassy with EducationUSA, I was hired at the International School of Ouagadougou as the K-12 school counselor.
I have spent over 15 years helping students navigate the complexities of the global application process. I’ve had the joy of guiding students to their dreams at institutions like Dartmouth, University of British Columbia and the University of Guelph, ensuring they have the academic roadmap they need to succeed.
As my own family grew and our lives took us across borders, my perspective on success deepened and took on new meaning. Living a nomadic lifestyle as a diplomat’s spouse and a mother of several children, I realized that a great future requires more than just a strong resume—it requires a resilient spirit. I felt a calling to be more active in my children’s lives and to bring a sense of calm to the transitions we all face.
This led me to bridge the gap between the academic and the organic. I became a Reiki Master and a Certified Yoga Instructor to find grounding and stillness in our fast-moving lives. To complement these intuitive practices with a scientific lens, I obtained my license in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and Holistic Health.
Today, I don’t choose between being an educator or a wellness coach; I am all those things. I believe that a student’s “path” is not just about where they go to school, but who they become along the way.
With a background in educational leadership, college counseling, and healing modalities, I offer a unique and intentional approach to growth. Whether I am helping a student craft a university essay or facilitating a wellness session for a busy professional, my goal is to build a foundation that is both healthy and ambitious.
